Elaina...lover of bugs...unless she's at camp...

"The boy should not squish the ant
He should leave him alone.
Bugs have't to live their own way
and so do people."

He better move as fast as those three tiny legs can carry him if he doesn't wanna be squished!

A Christmas Thank You...two months later

Fractions Made Fun

Elaina has the task every Wednesday of writing a 5 sentence paragraph on the topic her teacher picks.  This week, it was about cookies shared with friends and she had to use a fraction.

Translation:
I invited four friends to my house.  We each got 1/2 a cookie. It was sweet and yummy. My mom told my dad that is a fraction. Then we said, these cookies are fraction-tastic!

A friend...who's a boy

Elaina has a friend at school who happens to be a boy...who she happens to think is awesome.  This week we had a play date with her friend, "C".  This was just some of the conversation at dinner:
Me: So, C...when you get grow up do you want to get married and have kids?
C: Oh NO!  I know one thing for sure, I do NOT want a husband (no you aren't lost...he's a boy..he just got mixed up)  I am going to have my own place where I can play video games and stuff whenever I want!
Me: Elaina, are you going to get married and have kids?
E: Oh yes, I know who I am going to marry...Peyton
C: Peyton! Why would you want to marry Peyton!?
E: Because he's really nice.
C: (silence, thinking) Well, you can still come to my house and play video games and stuff if you want.
E: OK! :)

Letter To Santa

Today, Elaina brought home her letter to Santa:

Dear Santa,
I have been good to my baby brother.  Is your bag hevy?  Your face is so marry. I wish for babies, my baby brother, would like something that makes nose. oh and a game of chese and lagos and one more thing a picshure of you.
